With an intent of actualizing Swami Vivekananda’s ideals and taking them to various sections of society and to the remotest of places, RIMSE is looking to build a large pool of dedicated volunteers. These will be youngsters who are rooted in Indian culture and are at the same time open to imbibing the best of what modern society can offer and assimilating it in the Indian context. They will be people driven by the ideal of self-actualization through selfless service, as laid out by Swami Vivekananda.
Towards this end, RIMSE conducts Sunday morning classes for young men. The schedule has Vedic chanting, meditation, breakfast, discussion on Swami Vivekananda’s message to the youth, and shramdaan or volunteer seva activity at RIMSE. The Viveka-Shakti volunteers will also be trained in public speaking and over time be given the responsibility of presenting Swami Vivekananda’s ideas in retreats and workshops for students.
